Colour is the main interest in my painting and I love the process of analysing colours and tone and the affect they have on each other and the effect shadows have on the subject. I am constantly aiming for a balance in tone and colour. Textile influences still come through my work and I enjoy the challenge of dividing the image into a patchwork of colours. Over the 20 years I have lived in Pembrokeshire the landscape and its people are a constant source of inspiration for me.
