My paintings take me on a journey from one subject to another and I will often use different media. An idea for a painting will start me off on a series of work. I cannot say that I have a favourite medium except the medium that I use at that moment.

My inspiration is rooted in the landscape and the people of Pembrokeshire. My work is often figurative and it can move into abstraction as I analyse colour, shapes, lines and contours within a particular subject.

The Textile influence can be seen throughout my work especially patchwork and more recently weaving. Shadows are also my obsession as the colours are transformed into a myriad of mysterious dark tones.
